The latest recipient of my SPAM award is the automated answering machine from SBC internet services PacBell DSL. I called their main Billing / Technical support line. The main entry specifically states "Other internet related questions" press a specific number. Of course once you press that option there is no mention of anything close to the previous option. After 10 minutes of trying all the options I gave up and called the sales line. Luckily the sales person was able to connect me to the correct extension.
I think there should be a law that if companies use these automated phone systems there should always be an option to speak to an operator.
It is amazing, I have very little to do with my time and trying to figure out which button to press about sent my phone flying through a wall.
But this is just my opinion.
